Scout and Explorers at District Camp
Scouts
from across the District came together for a weekend
long camp to get ready for poacher 2008. Scouts
and Explorers from Louth, Manby and Sutton On
Sea Camped together at Manby.
Aseiling,
Rifle shooting, fire lighting and backwards cooking
were just some of the activities from the weekend. |

Cubs District Camp
Cubs from Louth, Manby and mablethorpe camped together and had a weekend full of lots of exciting activities including crafts, abseling and learning how to map read.
The Cubs played a number of games, did a night hike and had a camp fire. Everybody fully enjoyed themselves and it was good to have all the cubs from district in one place.. well for a weekend at least! |

Raft Race
Teams
of Scouts and Explorers participated in a number
of timed heats in this years Raft race held in
Tetney Lock.
Sutton
On Sea's Scout Team "Rebels Of The River"
Came out on top in this years race with the scouts
overall fastest time of 10.9 minuets. Well done
to all teams that took part. The Full results

St Georges Day
Beavers,
Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from all around Louth
District came together to celebrate St Georges
Day hosted by Mablethorpe and Sutton On Sea. The
Day was packed with lots of activities and crafts,
with a short service at the end.

SAC raise money for new Ambulance
Members
of The Scout Activity Crew, from Louth, Completed
all 25 miles of The Yorkshire Three Peaks in
Under 12 hours. Helping to raise funds for their
new Scout Ambulance that will be used on first
aid events, scouting activities, and Poacher
2008.

Cubs visit Rushmore country Farm
In
early July 1st and 2nd Louth cubs went on a
trip to Rushmore county park, and sore a number
of different animals, including goats, rabbits,
mice, pigs and a number of different sorts of
birds, although it was wet all the cubs had
a fantastic time, and were allowed to hold some
of the animals.

Manby's Homeless Night
Cubs
and Scouts Stayed the night in their make shift
homes made from recycled boxed they had been saving.
After an evening of activities cubs and scouts
set to work making their boxes to sleep in.

Poacher 2008!
In
the Last week of July Louth District Scouts
Joined with three and a half thousand other
Scouts and Guides from across the world in Lincolnshire's
Poacher 2008. This was a week long camp for
scouts full of adventurous and challenging activities,
projects and crafts.
Beavers
and cubs did not miss out on the Poacher experience,
and were invited along to a taster day, full
of excitement and lots of new and interesting
things to try. They were even challenged to
travel the world in just one day! |

New Group to District
Louth has recently introduced a new group to its District. 1st Grasby near Caister is the newest addition to our district, starting with a Beaver Colony.
